English humour in language, life and theatre

Most English humour is characterised by irony, satire, often even sarcasm. Prof. Glaap shows that the quick verbal gag, the one-liner, the elaborate punning and wordplay often deal with what people have in common, rather than with the differences between them. (With handouts.)
